Hello! My name is Isabella Girouard, or Bella, and I am the proud lunch lady for our Pico location! I’ve been with New West Charter since March 2024 and am so happy to start the new year! These kids are the happiest part of my day so I missed them so much over the summer.
A little bit about me: I was born in New Hampshire and also lived in San Francisco and Georgia before growing up in Los Angeles since the age of 5. In 2021 I graduated from Bravo Medical Magnet High in East LA. Since, I have worked in vegan/plant-based kitchens as well as fine dining working with Michelin-starred chefs and direct partnering with a recipe consultant to ensure the growing prep team maintains high standards. I value proper nutrition, food safety, and equal opportunity—I like to bring a positive attitude so the kids associate good feelings with food.
In my free time, I work on developing my art business, go on big bike rides, or watch WNBA games. Currently I’m working on a Los Angeles-based painting featuring a spiky sun, helicopter, skyscrapers, an East LA classic cruiser car, and a drawing of a little guy with an LA style. Also some cool lunch lady stickers inspired by the new school year!
