Hi! My name is Cindy Bernstein and I am so happy to be returning to the New West Charter team for the 2024/2025 school year. This is my seventh year at New West, and my eleventh year as a Math Teacher!
I grew up in New York, not far from New York City. I received my undergraduate degree in Mathematics, and my Masters degree in Curriculum Development, both from the State University of New York at Albany. I’ve had quite a few interesting and exciting years of experience in the business world, but I chose to return to my passion, which is being in the classroom with my students.
My husband and I moved from New York to Los Angeles 25 years ago. We have a daughter who is currently living and going to school in New York City. When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter, taking yoga and spin classes, reading and playing in the kitchen.
This year I will be teaching Geometry. My goal is to help each of my students to be confident and successful and to have some fun with Math. I am looking forward to getting to know my students and having a great year together!
