All questions relating to the 2017 Admissions Lottery should be directed to the New West Admissions Hotline at 310.384.8676 or via email.
Parents or legal guardians must attend one of the open house sessions as a required part of the application process. Family members or friends may not represent or substitute parents. Students are encouraged to attend, but not required. There is no need to RSVP for an open house session – all prospective families are welcome!

Location of Open House
All open houses are at Santa Monica High School in Barnum Hall. 601 Pico Boulevard, Santa Monica, CA 90405. (Open House sessions are at Santa Monica High School because it is a larger venue. Parking is available at the Civic Center.)
Take the Fourth Street exit. Turn left onto Fourth Street. Turn right onto Civic Center Drive and park in the lot or structure
Take the Lincoln Boulevard exit. Turn right onto Lincoln Boulevard. Turn right onto Pico Boulevard. Turn right onto Fourth Street. Turn left onto Civic Center Drive and park in the lot or structure
Friday, February 17, 2017 4:00pm. All applications must be submitted before the application deadline. For those families who did not attend an Open House and/or did not turn in an application by February 17, you may request to be put on our secondary wait list. Late applications are put at the bottom of the primary wait list and are recorded on a first-come first-served basis.

Parents/guardians must come to NWC to verify their application submission and receive their lottery number.
Wednesday, April 5th, 2017 4:30-6:30pm
Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 4:30 - 6:30pm. If the number of applications exceeds the available space, then a public lottery determines admission and or wait list status. Attendance at the lottery is welcomed but not a requirement.
Notification of Admission Status
Friday, April 7, 2017. An admission letter and enrollment packet is mailed to admitted students.
Enrollment Deadline (New Students)
Friday, April 21, 2017 6:00pm. Admitted students must return the completed enrollment packet and it’s required documents to the school office. If the enrollment forms are not returned by the deadline, then admission for that student is forfeited and an admission notice is mailed to the next student on the wait list.
Admitted Students Tours (6th Grade Only)
Thursday, April 27, 2017 and Friday, April 28, 2017 from 9:00 - 10:00am. Admitted students and their families are invited to participate in a school tour. Details of the tour and RSVP requirements will be included in the enrollment pack sent to all admitted students.
Students Admitted from Wait List
Students on the wait list are notified by phone if a space becomes available starting in June. They have seven business days from the date of 1st contact to return the enrollment packet and all required documents. If the enrollment packet is not returned within seven business days, then admission for that student is forfeited and an admission letter and enrollment pack is sent to the next student on the wait list.
